Photographing water birds can be a rewarding experience, offering a unique opportunity to capture their beauty and grace in their natural habitat. Patience is key, as I often wait quietly for the perfect moment when they take flight or interact with their environment. I use a long 600 mm lens that helps to get close-up shots without disturbing them, allowing for stunning detail in the images. Whether it's the vibrant colours of the brown pelican, or the serene elegance of a swan, each photograph reminds me of the many hours that I have spent observing and waiting. This is where I feel at my happy place.
